The Plant People was established in 2002 in Juneau, AK. Since its original inception, the Plant People has become the premier plant care service provider in Juneau, installing and maintaining plants in commercial properties, state and federal government facilities, and private homes.

Soon after starting our service business, we opened our retail store in downtown Juneau where our focus has always been on customer service. Our aim is to help our customers choose plants especially suited to their specific home or work environment, and to back up each sale with the support needed to insure our customers are successful with their investment. We are passionate about growing plants! We provide phone support, classes, published information, and even house calls.

In 2005, the Plant People branched out into flower business. We create fabulous custom floral arrangements for any occasion! We pride ourselves on being a low impact florist, using recyclable materials, composting our organic waste, and dealing in domestic, green-grown flowers.

The Plant People is owned and operated by Teresa Busch who brings a lifetime passion for plants and artistic expression to her work. Prior to founding the Plant People, Teresa was a valued plant care technician for the award-winning Botanical Designs in Seattle, WA. Prior to that, she worked in the nursery and landscaping field in Juneau and acquired her master gardener's certification during that time.

Teresa is well-known for her innovative designs. Her innate creativity, passion, and geniune appreciation for superior customer service brings her customer's dreams to life. Teresa was awarded the Juneau Empire's Service of Distinction Award for superior customer service in 2005.
